Art, Music & Laughs: It's no wonder that kids love Mr. David! MR. DAVID C. PERRYis a multi-talented artist / musician / comedianwhose creative concoctions of music, art, puppets, props and humor are guaranteed to appeal to the young and young-at-heart everywhere. Whether you are planning a small birthday party for your four-year old, an assembly for the whole school, or a festival for the entire community, you can count on a sea of happy, smiling faces by inviting Mr. David to entertain at your event. His most popular party "package" is a one-hour comical concert of "Drawings, Songs & Silliness" topped off with a thematic caricature of the birthday child. For older children (and grown-ups) you can arrange to have him draw additional caricatures, of all the guests. For corporate and retail events, too, his caricatures really "draw a crowd." For schools,camps, and libraries, he also presents themed assemblies and conducts hands-on workshops on both cartooning and songwriting. For large events, such as outdoor festivals, he sometimes teams up with members of his Mighty Bright Band. David has performed everywhere from the Please Touch Museum to the Hershey Museum to WXPN's Kids Corner to the Philadelphia Folk Festival to BCTV's Story Web to the Dr. Demento Show.
In 2002, he was selected by the Pennsylvania Library Association as the official artist for their statewide Summer Reading Club program and he has been creating appropriately themed library shows every year since. He is also currently a Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator for the Children's Music Network.
